I didn't sleep well last night (unusual for a Friday), so I felt a wee bit groggy this morning. In advance of today's 30 mile errand, before i set off i had a dig inside the car's glovebox to see what tunes were in there. Happily, i found an old Eels CD with the rousing and lovely 'hey man' tune on it. The grogginess lifted

indeed, i agree. I try very hard to share what i think is music that's good to the ear, but i accept that my ear might need a tune up

One of those bands which - at the time - I didn't realise how much of their music I liked.

Rectified with the relatively recent best of album.

I think it might have been made for the best of, but their cover of 'Get Ur Freak On' is hilarious.

Ditto, ended up buying a greatest hits album last year.

They're good live too. Saw them in Manchester 'with strings' tour and in Sheffield. Lots of their songs in the Yes Man film too.
