Though it'w quite a weird experience to listen to that sort of music while standing still in the middle of rush hour...

Plus, everybody gets the chance to see you headbanging.

...am sure I remember a Sisters Of Mercy track from about
1985 called "First and last and Always" or something similar

(or that may have been the title of the album)

...saw 'em live at a long dead Brum Venue that used to be
called "PowerHouse"...t'was a long time ago...but am sure they
were supported by a band called "Black Elvis 2000" who managed a
remarkable stop/start version of "Jailhouse Rock"

...seemed bloody cool at the time...but then...was only 19

Re: Today I am mostly listening to

"She's a Star"...James...don;t normally like that stuff but
someone played it today and it sounded good...needs to be loud though

"You've really got a hold on me"...Smokey Robinson and the Miracles

and the whole of "Machine Head"...Deep Purple...the ONLY music to
think of while sitting in traffic on a 367 bus...keeps you sane (just about)

...oh...nearly forgot..."Cross town traffic" by Hendrix...am about to play
it right now
