Anyone been listening to Black Tide? Bunch of sixteen year olds but they really do know how to ROCK

Their album is awesome, well worth buying this one. Sort of like Iron Maiden meets Motley Crue, with a bit of Metallica/GNR thrown in

First three tracks:

Shockwave:

YouTube - Black Tide - Shockwave: Edited Version, Closed Captioned

Shout:

YouTube - Black Tide - Shout

Warriors of Time:

YouTube - Black Tide- Warriors Of Time

Yeah heard jo whiley play them on radio 1 last week , very impressed, my kinda metal . Put them on the shopping list

Cutting Crew - The Scattering

Jed, I think that CC to me is something similar to what you feel with The Chameleons. I really like their music.

Just listening to it now
To be honest, I really hadn't heard anything other than their "I Just died....." hit. It does sound dated but I understand what you're saying my friend

I thought this suited the inauguration of Obama tonight.
The fight certainly isn't over (race is still, after so much bloodshed, such a big issue in the US) but things have changed for the obvious better and tonight's appointment is pretty momentous!

If it's a guttural, all enveloping feeling that tugs at every sinew in your body with passion, euphoria and a true sense of well being and self awareness, as well as making the world move in slow motion.................then you're definitely on the same wavelength

Well, not THAT extreme, but to me it feels like those old pair of slippers that still fit perfectly and are totally comfortable.

Plus, it's REAL music.

Re: Today I am mostly listening to

still with metallica – ride the lightning
and dream theater (live) performing metallica – master of puppets

I’m no metallica die hard fan, but why (I know why) didn’t they keep their sound? they were just so outstanding for their time. and it’s a shame cliff burton died. he could have been one of the best metal bass players of all time…
