Creed

Why is it that half of their stuff is quite good whilst the other half is almost unlistenably awful?

I love this one when I've had a cr*p / tough day at work. Listen to this in the car going home and by the end you're smiling.
Made me smile
Also made me think of this Ringo Starr track that has the same effect on me

Top track Mr Q, along with "When it All Comes Down" & "Hollow Horse". Ian McNabb's solo stuff is worth a listen too

Re: Today I am mostly listening to

I've not heard the Ringo one before Jed, but it certainly hits the same spot as the Geldof.

Spurred by the minor success of my first post on this thread, I think tomorrow I'll post my top three 'roof down' tracks in recognition of the month that it's been since the sun last shone here.

I struggle with the fact that many of my most appreciated tracks don't appear on You Tube. but for tonight I'll leave you with a particular favourite

+ YouTube Video

I don't claim to get the video, but it goes with the best sounding clip.

Re: Today I am mostly listening to

The Prodigy's cover of "Ghost Town" (The specials) with sublime results! Uber
YouTube - The Prodigy - Ghost Town

Not a massive fan, but I have admiration for their sound/energy/attitude. Biffy Clyro do a great rock anthem
YouTube - Biffy Clyro - Mountains

Saw these guys (again) play live tonight. Pure Aussie pub rock at it's simplest and best A true national treasure!
YouTube - Hoodoo Gurus - Good Times (1987)
with The Bangles as backing singers

They've aged a bit but I'd be glad to be doing what they do (and so well!) and getting a genuine buzz of it when I'm pushing my mid 40s

me neither, they're amazing. They are the one band that I regret never seeing live when they were together. I totally remember the day 'Evil Empire' came out and how excited I was (as a 15 year old) listening to it for the first time.
Therefore, I cant foookin wait to see them at Leeds !

Re: Today I am mostly listening to

Everyone probably knows this track already, but I played
it again last night and really loved it (hadn't heard it in a while)

...not sure what people might make of the video, but I think it's
a great track

YouTube - the reason
