What an album - I've got the vinyl album cover with the rare "Dewie defeats Truman" headline - blotted out due to a legal challenge on later printings of the cover.
Yesterday I received this, the gold-plated limited edition that was released in high fidelity. It's numbered and everything.
But, I still haven't opened it yet, will do so later perhaps.
The genuinely touching and moving finale to Elbow's Seldom Seen Kid.
The album, and in particular this track, is dedicated to Bryan Glancy, a friend of the bands who sadly died in 2007.
If the lyrics don't get you then you must have a heart of stone, surely
"Before leaving get to the bar
No one round here makes you pay
Never very good at goodbyes
So gentle shoulder charge
Love you mate
