Oggy - Knopfler is a seriously good guitar playing. That picking with finger and thumb is unreal!

Not much of it, thanks for that. Yes, it's such a casual syle (I reckon he started on classical guitar) you can't quite believe the sounds that come out. I saw them in 78 or 79 and stood right at the front of the stage mesmerised for the whole of the concert. Fantastic gig.

Casual style. Now there's a good way to describe his style.

Dire Straits made some really great music.

But to me, nothing beats Making Movies. That one's just awesome.

Wish I was around for bands like that, makes me think, my dad only turned 16 in '78.. I only ever go see tribute bands these days, they seem to be the only musicians that make gigs worthwhile. Music ain't what it used to be..

Casual style is a good way of putting it too
