Did you see my earlier post mentioning the latest dEUS "Vantage Point"?

Despite spending nearly 4 years in The Netherlands, I really couldn't get into the music scene there. Always preferred the homour and inventiveness of those south of the border !! These band have a big place in my record collection.....
dEUS, Hooverphonic, Novastar, Soulwax, Jacques Brel, Gorki.

Not to mention a little Django Reinhardt when I venture a little jazzy.

BTW - the new album is fantastic!!
Enjoy

You know Gorki .

And eu ... You are right about the humor . I think Great Britain must has been attached to Belgium in the past . In those days Holland was still a sea .

Re: Today I am mostly listening to

Remember seing this lass on Jools Holland and meaning to check out some of her stuff.

Found this single and really quite like it. Punchy and exciting with a voice like Janis Joplin after gargling gravel

Re: Today I am mostly listening to

Oh let the sun beat down upon my face,
and stars fill my dreams.
I am a traveller of both time and space,
to be where I have been...
To sit with elders of the gentle race
This world has seldom seen
They talk of days for which they sit and wait
All will be revealed

Ah the mighty Zep...

Re: Today I am mostly listening to

A great performance of "Run" by Gnarls Barkley
Pitchfork: Forkcast

For any Portishead fans - performing seven songs from "Third" in the studio for a set they called "Portishead in Portishead".
Portishead in Portishead // Current

And to end with, some of Australian's finest (and I don't mean AC/DC!) The awesome classic from The Cat Empire - The Chariot.
God only knows why these guys have never had serious commercial success
