Like all of their stuff, it's the kind of record you REALLY want to listen to whilst dancing like a mad baboon!

Re: Today I am mostly listening to

Not managed to see them live, shame they're only playing in London when they're over here. I'd be straight there if they were playing Cardiff or Bristol.

Only just discovered them sniffing my way through Amazons lists. What a band, what a fusion of music styles, reggae, jazz, ska, dub, hip-hop, and it all works together very well.

Re: Today I am mostly listening to

And guaranteed to clear a bad mood

They toured pretty extensively last year but not too much in 2007.
Had the pleasure seing them in their hometown Melboune a couple of years ago

Their Shep Bush gigs are a complete Oz fest - with a fantastic atmosphere. The crowd are invariably too good looking and friendly for their own good!!

Shame you can't make it

Re: Today I am mostly listening to

It would be awesome to see them but it means a hotel, night away for me and girlie + drinks will probably push a single night out beyond £300!!!! (which could be my remap!)

They're very similar to Babyhead, they're based in Bristol I get to see them a fair bit instead.

This reminded me a lot of "Buffalo Stomp", I think it was called, from the late 80's.

Now post a video of you dancing like a mad baboon.

First impressions are good. Carnival didn't get a lot of play here but the new one could be a grower. Planning to see them myself on the tour, but they're not up my way until November!

That sounds like a plan (although the 80Gb sounds like a better one!)

Now you really don't want to see that Ant - it's not a pretty sight

I think I know what you're referring to (do you mean Neneh Cherry - "Buffalo Stance??). These guys definately use the "cut n' paste" method to their experimental shenanigans. Double-dutch vocals, melodic guitar, cheerleading chants and tv cop show soundtracks It breaks all the genre rules - which I like!! Too much guitar to be electronic, too much mc-ing to be indie, too damn happy to be either!

Anyone remember Y&T???

They got a bit Bon Jovi (lame/tame) in their later albums. It's the guy's voice that grabbed me when I first heard them. Good edgy melodic ugly sweaty Rock!
