Used to own (ond covert) a 12 inch version of "(We Don't Need This) Fascist Groove Thang".

Probably worth a few quid now (if my x hadn't snaffled it as part of on acrimonious split - the ******' weasel!)

Has anyone else checked out these guys yet?
The National - ignore the video, please (this is my fave track off that album - I'm seriously smitten!)

Been around for some time, just released the best album of 2007.

Their music is somewhere between dream pop & alt country. I sincerely recommend buying the album. It's beautiful - it demands, (and rewards), repeated listens. Lyrics are fabulous - like when they summarise a desperate attempt to save a relationship with, "I'll get money/I'll get funny again".

@Mark147S1 - check out the track "Mistaken for Strangers". It's more on the brooding side (Joy Division/Interpol/Tindersticks - Nick Cave crooning with New Order drumming ).

"Music can name the un-nameable and communicate the unknowable."
[Leonard Bernstein]

"Duirt me leat go raibh me breoite"
[Spike Milligan (1919-2002)]

"I'm living on a one-way dead-end street......
........I don't know how I ever got there........"

[Steven Wright]

Re: Today I am mostly listening to

Thanks for that Jed

It's got that sort of sound that sort of relates to Joy Division & New Order
