No
I love the Innocent brand, what the h have they done that for
(of course that's rhetorical, I know exactly what they've done it for )

'Tis a shame - although not entirely unexpected.
My bambinos (+ me) love the Innocents, their brand/ethics etc. Bit pricey, but I've been prepared to pay a bit of a premium over the "corporates" for the what the company stood for and how it has acted.
Not sure I'll be able to do that for much longer

... or execute a few trade unionists, eh Cloverfield?
You love that part? nudge nudge.
I tried living without CokeCola for about 6 months.
It was hell. I gave up and acknowledge my hypocrisy
on the matter.

I don't really see the issue. Does it matter who the shareholders are? Once they're public, surely they can't control that anyway?
If they continue to act just as ethically as they did before, what has changed?

That's not a dirty word is it ? If they don't make money, the business folds along with everyone's jobs.
If they get investment from Coke or whoever, they can expand the business, sell more product, and creat more jobs; is that really such a bad thing
Alternatively, if they want to pocket the cash and go and buy a yacht or a house, that's their reward for taking the risk in setting up the company in the first place.
Makes the world go round.

I think Coke has gotten a bad rap due to the fact that
some of their South American subsidiaries took it upon themselves
to rid the company of trade unionist troublemakers by
hiring death squads to "disappear" them
Coke themselves just said "Well we didn't ask them to."
And left it at that.
Coke is also pretty water intensive. 2 litre water
is used to produce and bottle 1 litre of Coke.
In regions where water is scarce, that could
be seen as an issue by some.

Make a 2 litre bottle of Coke, dump it in the Ocean, sea levels decrease by 1 litre. Genius!

Just an interesting aquisition thats all guys, no need to get all up tight about it is there?
Theres no anti money resentment, just that it will look better for Coca Cola then Innocent in the image stakes..... I have no beef with Coke or Inoccent.......
Just felt as it was the way off topic area i'd post up an article i found interesting.

Re: Interesting aquisition, better for Cokes image than Inoccents i feel.
As a guardian reader i'd refer to them as the homeless.
But seriously i tend to purchase the Guardian on a saturday only i find itm ahs a great deal on offer which isn't nessisarily the newspaper section (the guide, the book review section , travel etc etc) i tend not to get swayed by newspapers i read as i have my own mind.
I'd certianly not take any advice form anyone (no saying you do) who reads the Sun, how anyone can touch that rag on the anniversary of Hillsborough is beyond me.... give me a Guardian any day!! over that tripe.......
Anyone who purchased the Sun should be ashamed of themselves, but on a day like today..even more so..
