Wii fit age
I've decided to try and be a bit more healthy - nothing serious, just eat a bit better, exercise more regularly, drink a bit less. Nothing to turn me into superman - I lead far too stressful a life for that
So, last night I got SmallestViking to show me how to work the Wii Fit doofer. Full of trepidation I got on and did the balance test and height weight stuff and did my first body test.
Now I'm 39 right now (one of the reasons I decided to try and look after myself a littl more ) so you can imagine my surpise to be told my Wii fit age.........
31!
with "Ideal" BMI!
Back on the beer and chips wagon I go

Re: Wii fit age
Must be something to do with old fartz and balance, my wife was made up when she received a Wii age of 39. Unfortunately she was less impressed when I received a stunning 35 (reverse the number and subtract 1 at next birthday). Not sure if the neighbours will ever forget the sight of me running down the driveway in my socks like I had just scored for UTD (strange what the Blackbush and a childs game can do to a normally sane person). It was 10 in the evening mind you.

Re: Wii fit age
Don't get complacent. The Wii Fit age can change by the minute.
Mine has been down as low as 31 and as high as 48, I'm much nearer the upper figure. Also the BMI thing is a laugh, I know I am overweight but it claims my ideal weight is 11 1/2 stone! When I was mega fit I was over 14 1/2 stone. Never going to happen this side of a gastric band or amputations.

Re: Wii fit age
Good on you blokes! The last BMI thingie' I tried, I was returned as 47! Realtime 68! Skinny as a rake, just on the borderline of underweight for my height, so it said! : Since then I have had one eye op. and am up for heart catheterisation in a couple of weeks time! Keep eating the pie and chips, but do a little on the cable exercise machine I do, sometimes. :

Try sourcing outside of the UK. I'll see if any online suppliers still ship from France...
Edit: wow, looks like none available here either.
Glad I got mine last year then.

Re: Wii fit age
I think the B.M.I thing is a bit mad, I have a slim build and it told me I was overweight I do lift weights and probably have above average muscle mass, so that’s probably why, but you would have to be a twig to be in the middle the ideal section.

Re: Wii fit age
I got 33 which surprised me a lot as I'm 38.
Also, it's 4 years since I've excercised, I've got a knackered back, take loads of drugs and I'm obese (BMI = 36)
It seems a good bit of kit though and will be great for me post surgery

Re: Wii fit age
We got one for JimJr for Christmas and hoped it would help kick start us into doing some exercise again. I've done nothing since I packed in cricket two years ago and I am definitely overweight now.
I have to say it seems pretty good fun and has lots of different types of exercises to play at. I tried some and the trainer would say how fantastic my balance is, then I'd try something different and my balance was useless.
Anyway, as we are all being honest my body test said I was overweight (agreed) - about halfway between ideal and obese (probably a 4 stone spread so no arguing from me) and my Wii age came out twice at 53 (which is real +2) and once at 58
I won't read too much into the BMI thing but it is a good indicator of progress and I've edged it down by >0.5 since NYE.

Re: Wii fit age
Wii do that just to make you think they are great and really know their stuff.
Then you buy more stuff from them.
