What amazes me, is recently, the RM's yomped overnight sixty K's and then whacked the unsuspecting Taliban, as they were breakfasting. Amazing our guys are! Just by way of refreshing this old brain as to how really clapped out I am now! Makes me fair

Almost the opposite to me, Jim
I was delighted to find that my Wii Fit age is nearly half my actual age.
Sadly I suspect most people won't be fooled......
The Wii result seems to be strongly dependent on core stability and balance rather than overall fitness. The test didn't exactly make me break into a sweat.

It really has nothing to do with fitness... It doesn't measure things like recovery rate (i.e. how quickly you return to your resting heart rate after exercise).
Balance is not a sign of fitness... and BMI is very crude as muscle weighs more then fat so anyone who is muscular probably comes out as overweight.
That said I do want to get down into the ideal BMI band... 2 weeks left on my target and somewhere between 4 and 8lbs to go depending on when I weigh myself on it.
The yoga is very amusing... 3 in and out breaths gives you 2 minutes Wii fit cash... not sure that qualifies as exercise... mind you the tree is bloody hard!
I'm going snow boarding in Feb so am using it more for balance and muscle tone in ankles/thighs. For fitness I'll stick with the occasional jog.

Thats what I thought! I carnt even put my socks on without sitting down or get up off the floor without using my hand. The excerises were ok and I didnt break into a sweat, I sat down and ate some Pringles though!

Try sourcing outside of the UK. I'll see if any online suppliers still ship from France...
Edit: wow, looks like none available here either.
Glad I got mine last year then.
Thanks for looking Nev

Re: Wii fit age
It's nothing to do with fitness at all - I agree. But it's fun and I need fitness to be fun otherwise I give up real quick.
So the pizza and sausage sandwich seem to have added 0.3kg (which is good cos I'm a stick). Wii fit age went up to 43 because it picked a test I hadn't seen before and and I wobbled a bit
Roll on tonight

Re: Wii fit age
Is that a Pizza, and a Sausage Sandwich, two seperate things? Or is it a Pizza and Sausage Sandwich which open up a whole new world of culinary delight to me. You are James Martin.

Re: Wii fit age
I see where you are going, and I will investiagte the possibility of a pizza and sausage sandwich at lunchtime. However yesterday it was a pizza and a sausage sandwich.

Re: Wii fit age
Indeed and Smallest Viking had one with meatballs and pepperoni in at Xscape on Sunday. That is probably as close to a pizza and sausage sandwich as one can easily get

Just steeling myself for a quick yoga session before I hit the weights. Trying to get some muscle tone in my arms for all the times I have to push myself off the ground after another snowboarding fall

Re: Wii fit age
So today I have eaten two shredded wheat (with sugar ), 3 slices of cake , 2 rounds of corned beef sandwiches and lasagne with garlic bread for dinner.
Result: Wii fit age is now 38 (down from 43 yesterday) and weight is down by 0.9kg from yesterday.

Re: Wii fit age
Sorry to bore you all with this, but I find it stangely motivational to post my WiiFit progress
Yesterday I had two croissants, 2 rounds of roast beef sandwiches, one ham salad roll and pasta for dinner.
Gained 0.4kg and WiiFit age is now 45! 45? It's got bugger all to do with effort and everything to do with which tests the squeaky little pest chooses for you!

Re: Wii fit age
My wife actually woke me up yesterday morning to tell me that she had broken my 10 minute Hullahop record by 1.
I nearly ruptured myself lastnight trying to get it back but was unsuccessful after 30 minutes of trying. Shouldn't have had my dinner first.
