X-Factor

Haven't watched it or any of the other talent shows before this series...and won't be watching it again. The first few are ok when they have all the nutters on it...but over the weekend it was the most horrific TV I have ever watched

...but I have an idea to spice it up. Most of the 'contestants' say that if they don't make it they'll have nothing else in life etc etc etczzzz....well if that be the case and they don't get through to the next round I think they should be shot. Would make for good TV and would give the 'men' on it a real reason to cry

THIS!

It's also very similar to my idea for spicing up Formula 1... A lapped car will explode as it crosses the start/finish line at the end of the lap. That would make lapped drivers try and race their socks off to unlap themselves, possibly messing with the leading drivers and making the whole race infinitely more interesting.

Re: X-Factor

It's light entertainment. It doesn't have to be thought provoking, you can watch all of it or just a bit and still be entertained and the competitive side of it makes it more interesting. I like it, although I agree this middle bit where they choose the actual contestants is a bit naff. The ones you mention who only live to sing(even though they are rubbish) need medical help, shooting is a bit harsh

Re: X-Factor

This could usher in a whole load of actually interesting television shows as opposed to the mostly cruddy stuff we currently have.

Like it a lot, bet some of you have some great ideas, lets hear 'em !

Re: X-Factor

I was talking about the X factor in post 4 but most of it could apply to F1
