Taggart is celebrating 25 years on the go.Mark macManus was a brilliant first Taggart and Alex Norton (DI Burke) is well cast as I knew a few gaffers out of the same mould.Sadly lacking in the real world these days.Thats the price for equal everything and policy of wet wet wet.
I recently watched the latest version of The Count of Monte Cristo and it was a brilliant movie BUT with all the continuity advisers and casting directors who the France cast Alex Norton as Napoleon?
I just wet myself laughing .
Perhaps most of the rest of the world may not have noticed BUT Napoleon with a Glesca accent....Never in a month of Sundays.
A recent trigger was in the 25 year celebrations when DI Ross (John Michie or whatever he's called) and Burke are speaking in a french accent as to what Taggart was called in France....He still cannae dae a French accent....so horses for courses .....Keep Napoleeon OOOHH LA LA ...Not Glesca...
Am I alone on this or has anyone a better example ?
Pomeo..."Now that French accent was murder"
