Alfa-GEEK?

How is your other half taken by the Alfa thing?
Mine just does not get that a car is anything more than transport. I get called an Alfa-GEEK and such like for enjoying my car and visiting the forum!!! She still moans that I should have bought a Mondeo .

Does anyone else have these issues or have I cocked up here and got myself the wrong one (missus not car)

I will not be trading either in however as they are both stunning in their own way - just wanted to see if I am not alone in the Alfa-Geek club.

Interesting dilema also that it has only as yet come to nothing more than name calling and obvious mental cruelty by suggesting owning a mondeo....if you need to ever look at how devistating mondeo driving can be - you only have to look at me and darren156 for your evidence

I hope if the day ever comes when push comes to shove - you will let her down gently

Chris

Re: Alfa-GEEK?

Past girlfriends have had a habit mentioning my "obsession" with my car and anything AR related. One even got caught up in it too and started loving everything AR.

Being single is best - just you being able to enjoy your car with no nagging or tutting/sighing

Re: Alfa-GEEK?

Don't think it's just an Alfa thing mate; most birds (ducks for incoming) don't get cars full stop - it's just one of those celebrated differences between the sexes.
Does any bloke understand the female obsession with shoes ?

Re: Alfa-GEEK?

My wife understands as she has her own car that is her pride and joy. A cat only has to think about jumping on to it and she gets the broom out.

She will deny this to the end though.

Re: Alfa-GEEK?

Mrs Corbo enjoys driving it as much as me I think, we have a 50 mile round trip each day and drive one way each. It's just the part where I explain to her it's a car and not a wardrobe where we have issues.
