Re: Do we really have freedom of Speech??
So what was the topic in question? Or is that in the Sturmbannfuhrers top draw, along with the other top secret stuff?

Is that what you call help??? If that was help then people... I dont want it!
Only a couple of posts were on the topic.

Re: Do we really have freedom of Speech??
I think that thread got way out of hand. Maybe take a deep breath before replying in that tone. If you want help, advice or people to share a rant with it's probably best not to alienate everyone on the forum in the process...

Re: Do we really have freedom of Speech??
Why do the people who say 'I'm a bluff, straight talking man, who says what I mean' so often turn out to be people who actually just happy to be rude and insulting, and don't see that anyone else has the right to be offended by it? And how is it that these 'straight talking' people, are the first to get offended themselves if anyone so much as questions them?
Rainski - various people asked for more details on the subject in order to help, because your first few posts were (as well as being badly written and hard to understand on that level) vague and very unclear. Your every response was to have a big rant at them.
How can you claim that other people asking questions of you was them being rude, yet fail to accept that the stuff you said on there was rude?
Oh and freedom of speech refers to the freedom to put forward an opinion - not the freedom to insult people. Find your nearest policeman and call him a ******, then ask him about the limits of freedom of speech.

Dear me. Do you have anger issues? Unfortunate childhood? Or is it just a low IQ and no social skills?
Like I said, I am a neutral observer, didn't participate in that thread, so it's easy for me to see who came off as the wind-up merchant there. People are helped on this forum every day by others, who give up their own time to do it. The only variable on that thread, compared to the many others which are conducted civilly, was you. I do often wonder why people can show such disrespect, and then are surprised when they get it in return

My appetite is more than just whetted, positively parched now! So what was it all about, that thread, and has it been scrubbed off? :

Re: Do we really have freedom of Speech??
For goodness sake. "Freedom of speech" does not mean that anyone can say anything they like without consequences. It means that people should be allowed to express political views without the state imposing criminal sanctions. And in times of national peril (war, terrorism) even that right turns out not to be absolute.
This is a forum with rules, which you accepted when you joined. That your thread gets locked because you are being offensive, in breach of those rules, has nothing to do with "freedom of speech". You are not in danger of criminal sanctions. Unless the UK has recently enacted anti-d*ckhead laws, in which case you might consider seeking asylum somewhere.
Here's a more positive way of looking at it. After a run of bad luck which would try most people's patience, you lost your cool and vented a bit on this forum. It turns out that this Ned bloke has the confidence of a lot of people on this forum - and they're a pretty tough audience. So you are going to get your engine done by someone that this crowd think is competent and honest. How good is that?
