Hancock (Spoilers Possible!)
*Extreme Spoiler Warning! Do not read if you don't want the movie to be wrecked for you!!!*
Watched this at the cinema earlier today, it was alright but I expected it to be alot better for some reason.
Not Will Smiths fault though, he's brilliant as always.
It just lacked a certain something sadly,
Anyone else seen it? What did you think?

Re: Hancock (Spoilers Possible!)
Absolutely agree with you there 100% Phil!!!
*Extreme Spoiler Warning! Do not read if you don't want the movie to be wrecked for you!!!*
The first 30 minutes were brilliant, but the last hour seemed ever so rushed and didn't really explain all that much....
The second her secret was exposed it did tumble on a downward spiral, they should have made it in the exact way that they advertised it: A down on his luck superhero tries to win back America.
That would have been great! They should have had alot more action scenes as well, and made it more like him on a mission to win back the hearts of the nation, instead though they sort of bomard us with information that I don't 'really' care all that much about and try to make me cry about it?!?!?
Not overly impressed to be honest, bit of a disappointment,

Yeah, you are right, the thing is in the first 30 minutes I laughed so much and really enjoyed it! Maybe I should buy it on DVD but stop it after 30 minutes,

Re: Hancock (Spoilers Possible!)
I saw Hancock a couple of weeks ago and agree it's a bit disappointing. It's a good idea, and it was entertaining, but they didn't seem to make enough of his drunkeness (you see most of his poor endeavours via YouTube clips etc). It's almost immediately into trying to "make him a better man". And as has already been said, when the wife's secret is revealed, then things take a further turn for the worse. Not bad though. 6 out of 10!

Re: Hancock (Spoilers Possible!)
Saw it last night. Took the missus (again she thought we were going for a meal) and i liked it. Sure, it was better when he was a bit of a loser but this is Hollywood i'm afraid and hero's just cant be like that without making good in the end. Didn't like the other hero (or anti-hero i suppose) appearing, but again it's Hollywood with big studio bosses taking the tried and tested route rather than try something new. If you want something honest and different look east towards Korea and Japan. No punches pulled in their film making. I especially recommend Bittersweet Life, Oldboy and Audition.

Never Test The Depth Of Water With Both Feet.

Re: Hancock (Spoilers Possible!)
Hmm, it sucked Alfaspeed, What I didn't like was the fact that she needed to be in it at all. Now don't get me wrong, I thinkg Theron did a great job and her acting skills have really come good, but she wasn't needed in my opinion. There should have been about 5 or so action scenes such as the police shoot out with armed bank robbers etc etc, and made the film solely about some random superhero dude we don't really know trying to get his act back together.
That s**t about 'We came to Earth in pairs' etc was crap and extremely stupid, as it just made me want to leave,

Didnt hear that part.
I didnt think it was that bad though to be honest. I thought their fight scene was a little weird however with all the twisters etc. But then again, like i said, its Hollywood and so we cant expect too much from them. Steady as she goes seems to be the order of the day.

Re: Hancock (Spoilers Possible!)
Yeah you aint wrong. I mean, with the twisters, did anyone else see weird bits of walking robot monsters made of metal walking around???
God that movie sucked! And it's a shame because I wanted it to wow me,

Re: Hancock (Spoilers Possible!)
I thought it was a good film up to the point where the woman was exposed...it kind of ruined the story for me because it's such a sudden change in direction and seems completely out of place.
