Alfa owner puts Aston owner's nose out of skew !

At this past weekend's "Silverstone Classic" there seemed to have been a 156 GTA being offered for sale. I was sitting in the Aston Martin Owner's Club area when a club member awash with AMOC T shirt, AMOC back pack and AMOC cap strode in telling everybody that he'd just been insulted by the owner of the 156, who, perhaps not liking Astons or their owners, had seemingly replied to the question of how much was wanted for the Alfa by telling the Aston owner that "You wouldn't be able to afford the petrol, let alone the car !"
Well, I guess that is one way of not having to part with a car that you really don't want to sell !

Back pack, cap and T shirt is not the normal wear for your archetypal Aston owner. No need to be rude to him but no wonder the seller got confused.

I was wearing at Silverstone on that day fluorescent green Crocs, khaki coloured, baggy arsed mussel digger long shorts, and a blue and white "wife beater" T shirt. I also had a yellow silk bandana tied artlessly around my neck.
Oh yeah, I also wore a black straw pork pie hat with a bottle opener tucked into the red hat band. Is that archetypal Aston Martin owners wear ? We don't all troll around in cavalry twill trews, tattersall check shirts with a yellow knitted tie, and leather elbow patched Harris tweed jackets !

Yes. The last three Aston owners I've met have worn exactly that, I thought it was some sort of uniform You said you were sitting but was your car there? Dressed like that the other owners probably thought you were a nutter so didn't say anything

Seriously though, what dork wears all the branded kit at the same time?

I must say, the original post did make me laugh
