Was I wise?

I let one of my workmates take my car home last night, it was out of necessity as I needed his Land Cruiser to pick up a Fridge Freezer.

Being a bit sneaky I reset 'trip B' before handing over the keys, and on checking it this morning, well let's just say it looks like some one had fun last night ....39mpg!!!,

I'm not a slow driver (not crazy top speeds, but I do like to use the full potential of the JTD to accelerate ) and usually average around 44mpg, on my own*,

The only comments he made this morning were,

that if my car is as quick as that, then he doesn't know how GTA owners can keep them on the road,
I'm assuming he found the performance to be be adequate, or possibly more than adequate,

his wife and daughter think it's cool,
Well, it is cool,

Oh and my review of the Land Cruiser, - you can fit a 1.49m high fridge freezer in it.



* can average nearly 60mpg when the baby's in the back, imo the best fuel saving device ever, so if your fuel bills are getting a bit steep .....

Couldn't see it,

lives up a mountain + owns horses + works for contractor + carries loads of safety/surveying gear = Land Cruiser,
we have three of them, but his is the best kept, which is why I picked him for the swap

Although, one day he noticed a 147 with a body kit in a carpark, he rang me right away to ask what it was, which is how he now knows about GTA's
