Big Brother is well and truely with us...

large screens are being erected in various town centres so people can watch the olympics(god knows why, the world cup it aint )but 12 of these screen are permanent and after the olympics they will broadcast bbc news 24 for 18 hrs of the day, forever.(or until the greenies point out the environmental impact of these screens)

how long will it be before our glorious leader will be using them to teach us the error of our ways as we go about our daily business?

will we have to line up for our daily brainwashing in front of these screens?

With all the rants on here about how crap the 2012 Olympics is going to be and how it's a complete waste of money ... I'd say footy is probably a bit more important ...

to some people im sure the olympics are more important than the footy, but really how many people are they expecting to watch syncronised swimming in a 'fanzone' in the middle of Hull town centre? im sure it will be packed for womens beach volleyball though

thank god they arent planning to show Sky news, that would be the final death knell for town centres.

Most things that are "Hosted" in this country usually turn out to be superb.

Looking back to the Euro (Footy) Championships 96, is just one example.

The way we go about organising and constructing such events though??? (Wembley Stadium, comes to mind!!!) Now that's a different story.

Yes I was being negative and yes, that's exactly what I meant!

We will be lied to about how much it will all cost, lied to about the various impacts it will have, and it will go over-budget by a factor of 10!
