Dont want to sound all cynical or obnoxious, but how many pages do you think he will get when he paralyses himself? I cant understand why people take these risks for just a few seconds "fun".

Congrats to him on his publication though.

The name "Tombstoning" conjures up bad images.

Still, it's a free country. If people want to jump off and
a cliff, why the hell not.

I thought "Tombstoning" was like "dogging" but in a grave yard

Didn't a kid do this about a month or 2 back and completely paralyze himself from the neck down? I recall it being on the news...

If people want to do it then they can go for it, not for me though!

Re: My Mate got three full pages Printed in todays Times

Interesting, but as Junior Troopers at Bovington, we used to walk the 7? odd miles to Lulworth on a Sunday, for a free dip in the Briny at the cove, midsummer, to relax and cool off after another week of intense battle training. Talking 1957 here.:

One or two of the over energetic types, 'Junior Nutters' did a few plunges, but it was made clear it would be classed as 'Self Inflicted Wounds' if you damaged yourself, so dont expect the Medics to pic up the tab!!:

Plus, if you were so injured you would be charged, punished, and costed accordingly.

So if you care to so indulge, so be it, but not at the expense of our NHS, Private Please?

One could say the same about a particularly boistrous drive along an A road in an Alfa, or a high speed overtake along a single carriageway, but I bet we've all done that on more than one occasion.

Tombstoning's not for me, but a life with no risk taking at all, is no sort of life.

Yep! HST.: So, never mind p***ing about around our coastlines, river bridges Etc. Sign up with the Paras, Marines, Etc. and use that adrenaline, whilst getting paid for it, if you like the risk factor so much?
