I'm gonna do a skydive

- done a bungee & my next logical step was a skydive, but have decided 'no way josé'

I did one in Arizona and I was exactly like that.

Did a jump with my geography teacher while i was at school (heard all the jokes BTW)

It was terrifying leaving the plane, terrifying falling through the air (although not as terrifying as the leaving part), terrifying when the chute opened and you get that jolt (although not as terrifying as falling through the air because there is relief the thing opened), and terrifying when you realise you are still falling incredibly fast towards the ground.

Overall, it was pretty terrifying.

I thought the free falling feeling was awesome, terrifying on the way up though...

Did you fall tandem? I did, and having this honking great bloke strapped to your back is not something i would recommend.

I wouldnt repeat the experience for all the money in the world....well maybe all of it.

I did my AFF with Freefall University at Lillo in Spain (now Freefall Addicts outside Seville).

As I was about a mile from the dropzone the radio started playing Queen, 'Who wants to live forever'?

I had a mad german instructor called Ulli. He gave me a bright blue jumpsuit and said 'Don't vorry, ziz iz ze last suit you vill ever vear'.

Being that I was 3 stone heavier than Ulli, he had to wear a diver's weight belt in order to fall at the same rate.

Good couple of weeks, would thoroughly recommend it.

Paddy was in the pub telling his mates about joining the army and his first parachute jump.
he says 'we were about 30,000 ft up then 1 by 1 they started to jump, it was my turn and no way could i jump! Then this huge sergeant pulled his 12 inches out and said 'Boy if you don't jump i'll stick this baby right up your arse!'
Paddys mate asked 'well did you jump then?'
Paddy replies 'just a bit when it first went in!'
