I did 116, all but the first 6 free-fall. Amazing sport - some of the best days of my life were spent at DZs.

Skydiving is most certainly not for me

Well done Friggertool...I did 46, and happily confess I was completely crap at it. I kept getting to dummy ripcord pulls, get cleared for freefall, then some poor bugger got killed on his first free fall, so they put us all back a stage. This happened at least twice, so I didn't get to go freefall until number 32...and yes you can all laugh..I give you permission. Most would go freefall between jumps 6 and 10.

Moral..if you exit the aircraft like a bag of spuds, instructor puts line through your progression ideas.

I never hurt myself and I enjoyed some cracking views of the countryside around.. Cark (Morecambe Bay), Greengates Farm ( next to Leeds Bradford Airport), Grindale(Bridlington) Sibson (Peterborough) and Elvington (York)

Mind you, my last descent was over 30 years ago now..its like ancient history.

I did a couple of jumps at Cark - fabulous views & 13K from an Islander . Also did a couple at Topcliffe & Peterlee but most were at Brunton in Northumberland (now sadly closed) - another fabulous location.

Nethers and Langar for me.

the Red Devils have an Islander G-ORED which had a sticker above the exit asking if your life insurance is up date.

It's funny how you remember the little details.

I'd love to do a skydive.. But would love it even more if I could push some of my ex's out without shoots in front of me..

To all of those thinking of doing one I would say do it! I did a tandem freefall last year and it was amazing. All over a little fast though (funnily enough).

A few precursors though:
1) I had to get up very early to do it, so am as rough as old boots.
2) I've done it documentary style for all my fans, so there's a bit of camera phone footage and chat edited in, with some attempt at comedy.
3) The skydiving outfit is not very flattering.

As I'm falling, all you can see me say is "It's f***ing amazing!" over and over again. The feeling, and the view was overwhelmingly awesome.

I'd like to get my A licence, but I really don't have the time to invest in it as a sport.

It was amazing, I'm definitely going to do it again.

Bungee jumping is the next thing on my bucket list.
