Re: What era were you born into?
1950. Men all still wearing the same de mob suits, women in head scarves, Dad's army overcoat on the bed. Some war time rationing still in force

Re: What era were you born into?
I have a ration card that mum got for me before I was born - still got it although rationing ended it was never needed.
1953 makes me the tail end of the Baby Boomers - by the time I was born, the returning squaddies were knackered from all that "catching up". On the plus side, I did catch the some of the swinging sixties, flower power and Woodstock (no I didn't go).

Re: What era were you born into?
March 1971
My earliest memory is my uncle pushing me up the road in my buggy when it folded up on me throwing my uncle over the top, and watching the new year celebrations on T.V as the 1979 became 1980.

There wasn't that many cars round our neck of the woods so we used to have pocket books and collect Car registration numbers

Re: What era were you born into?
August 1972 for me, all got a bit subdued then into the punk era.
The Clash - Combat Rock was my first album (1982) - still got it now (donated by my brother to keep me away from all the other stuff, god bless him), Raleigh Chopper (wish I'd kept it would be worth a few quid now)
Those were the days

Re: What era were you born into?
1954, - Baby Boomer
My dad wore a hat to work every day and I remember reading "War" and "Battle" comic books (the little ones). Our dads always the talked about "the war".
Oh, I also remember reading Biggles and Gimlet books.
