And for those saying 'These are only cheap cars, they are at the end of their life expectancy anyway!' I say to them that's crap, as my GTV only cost a grand. Does that mean I'm willing to rant it around a track, smash it up, then ditch it??? Nope.

I agree although AGAIN I find myself saying that the 75 DID NOT COST JC £450! TG PAID £1000 FOR IT! I know because my 75 TS was in the frame as a back up if they coudn't get a V6, and because I've read the posts in the 75 room and at alfaromeo75.co.uk
I'm so pleased they didn't need my car, I think KA is pretty gutted that they ruined what was a very good 75 3.0 V6
BTW My 75 only cost me a grand, and yes I rant it round a track, but no way would I smash it up or ditch it

As a new member of this site-I just registered this morning-I looked in on this thread expecting to be highly entertained, just as I watch Top Gear for entertainment. Instead, I was quite amazed by the disrespect shown by some members, one to another. I have posted on many sites over the years and have stuck only with those where the members show they can discuss matters without resorting to personal comments. Passion is good, guys-channel it towards your love of the Alfas, not towards your fellow enthusiasts. Surely we are all entitled to our opinions? This is just mine, I add hastily.

Actually on the receipt from the BBC it states... £450 for the car and £550 for the inconvenience!

Re: The Morning After Topgear......
Also interestingly, before this I episode I saw the one with the test between the Brera, TT and RX8. I was more offended by this episode, where they were talking about a brand new alfa and saying it would break down and all the usual crap.

It entertainment I knew the 75 would probably get trashed but its fixable. The show LCD is fun and trashing cars.
its all done by popular demand.
I'm sure Alfa Romeo will sell more Alfas after the show not less.
Didn't she look good on the track
The old 75er held her ground mate thats for sure, and yes i found it funny and a little negative at times but remember when they were watching the alfa's coming into the event JC and may drooling over the old brigade of alfa's,then the comment about the fiat, you could also see other italian cars there too,no comment on them all to do with alfa. think about it theyb thrashed them to the limit and yet 2 made it out of 3 not bad the 75 still the best rear wheel drive alfa
 The old 75'er no 1
The last True Alfa Mark

Re: The Morning After Topgear......
IIRC KA paid nearer £450 for it. The TopGear people contacted the original seller and found it was already sold to KA. Top Gear then got touch with KA, and they agreed the £1000 sale and buy back terms.
So although it was for sale at £450, they had to pay extra as they missed the boat. IIRC thats how it went, doubtless KA will be able to shed some light.

Re: The Morning After Topgear......
This thread has amused me this afternoon, as did the show last night. I reckon a Poll on last nights show would be interesting like.
