They were all on the cheap end of the market so they were bound to fall apart (most £500 cars do with that treatment), but it was highly entertaining and not derogatory at all towards Alfa as far as I could tell. Top show loved it roll on the next challenge. Personally if you're getting all heated over £500 Alfa's being trashed and enjoyed then you need to get out more.

Thing is, if it was a sub £1k group of BMW's I bet the thoughts would be completely different!

To be honest they would have been better off giving them a decent amount of cash to spend and why oh why did they not show a little bit more of the Stanford hall event.

Exactly - why not go to the event and try and show Alfa's in a good light??

Give budget to do up and get their cars in good nick and show the viewing public how these cars can scrub up - instead of painting the car in Equadorian racing colours

What a load of junk. I am surpised you guys actually thought it was good for the Alfa Romeo brand .

Jeremey Clarkson is actually a rather intelligent writer but the problem is the way people interpret his comments...most people who watch Top Gear are complete morons and they won't understand what Clarkson actually means.
The fact that they were trashing 3 old bangers and joking about bits falling off may be a joke to them but I am sure alot of people (as I was being told by people at work this morning) that all Alfa's are horrible, cheap rubbish cars.

Sorry guys but this has not been good for Alfa's (as usual).

.....as for the silly giggling like little girls and putting cheese etc under the engine is just so childish and boring.

Needless to say I won't be watching it anymore.

no thats not the case....i jsut wanted to chat with poeple who enjoyed the show....if you wnated to have long converstaions about why you didnt enjoy it then go to another thread...pref the one with discussions about it...

Frankie you know me better than that - I posted a negative, and you didn't like it - so acted innapropriatly.

You can not create threads and expect it to be not to be challenged...that is naive
