Re: Top Gear reprimanded
What a load of sh*t.
a) They were in international waters so not breaking any laws.
b) They weren't getting hammered, it was a joke.
c) I don't know of any kid who would have watched that and thought 'Hmmm, I'll go and steal a car and drink gin & tonics". Even if they did, by the time they get round to learning to drive you'd have hoped their parents would have taught them enough about life to know they shouldn't do it.
Quite frankly, I don't see the problem.

Re: Top Gear reprimanded
I quote this from a member of another site..
Very irresponsible behaviour. It's well known that if you drive a HiLux to the North Pole while ****ed it's easy to hit a penguin crossing an iceberg.

Re: Top Gear reprimanded
Oh good so the Window-Lickers are out complaining again, what planet are these people on.
No drink drive rules out there as there's no jurisdiction or law against it you'd be hard pressed to run into anything but an ice field or a polar bear. It's entertainment FFS

Re: Top Gear reprimanded
I can never remember which one is which when it comes to penguins.
I know polar bears are in the Arctic but not in the antarctic, but can never remember penguins.

Re: Top Gear reprimanded
There are penguins at both. Only the type differs. In the south they drink G&T's and try to get run over by cars. In the north they are far too sensible.

Personally I think it was very wrong.
You shouldn't drink G&T without lemon......

Re: Top Gear reprimanded
I love it that Clarkson doesn't give a toss.
I thought it was brilliant when he was on QI sitting next to Alan Davies, and proudly announced he'd eaten puffin... grated puffin on his plate of seal's "hand".

Re: Top Gear reprimanded
Just read the rest of that article and remmebered when they had to 'catch' roadkill for their dinner. When Clarkson turns up with a cow on the roof I almost soiled myself. 'How do you peel a cow?!!'
