Broadband/Vista Problem.

My trusty Toshiba laptop packed in last week,so on Tuesday I purchased a new Compaq laptop.
The Toshiba was WindowsXP,the Compaq is of course Vista.
Im' using Orange broadband with an USB modem and have loaded the Orange software-the only problem I am having is I have to restart the PC every time I want to go on the internet ie.if I log off the internet and put the laptop into sleep or hibernation mode I cannot connect back on the Internet and have to re-boot the machine.I have asked Orange for another installation disk to see if will this solve the problem.
Any ideas anyone?.

Re: Broadband/Vista Problem.

I spent a total of about 4 hours on the phone to help lines, in the end took mine into the shop for them to sort out.

Re: Broadband/Vista Problem.

I'm having MASSIVE problems with mine, haven't been able to use my PC at home for a month now,

I'm being sent a new router but I know that won't work, something's messed up,

Re: Broadband/Vista Problem.

Ditch Orange, and if you need mobile broadband go for Vodafone.

Re: Broadband/Vista Problem.

Change all the power saving settings to off or maximum performance and instead of hibernating shut it down.
