Can Anyone Help (Nurburgring people)??

Hi guys, me and my mate who I live with were chatting this morning and have decided we are going to drive from Braintree to the Nurburgring and do a couple of laps. Me in the GT and him in his Scooby. Don't want to rag it round there cause wouldn't want to break my GT just want to do it to say I have done it.

Anyone got any tips etc?? Best way of going, places to stay etc experiences??

Thanks

Do it - it's brilliant. Have a look for the Touristenfahrten days on the Nordschleife here and then start arranging it.
The cheapest ferry crossings I found were with Norfolk Line from Dover to Dunkerque and I stayed at a local guest house, which was a great experience! There are plenty of hotels in Nurburg, but they fill up quickly when there is an event on the GP circuit so choose your date wisely and book early.

Have a look at Ben Lovejoy's Nurburgring Nordschleife website for advice and places to stay.
I'm hoping to go back again next year, it's a fantastic place and well worth spending a few days there.

Do what Bodba says

We had a great time, took our Spider and stayed at Pension Daniels.

Eat sausage, cake and drink wine!

Oh and drive careful

LOL! Cheers for the advice. I have looked on Ben Lovejoy's website some pretty handy info there. I was hoping to do a couple of laps just while I am there. Hoping to get a few photoies so I can get them up on the wall and framed

Just gotta find the right date now and book it.

Indeed. No pics yet, maybe tomorrow as I'm off work this week.

Know anyone who wants to buy a Golf VR6?

Re: Can Anyone Help (Nurburgring people)??

Stopped at the Nordschleife last week on my way back from southern Germany.

It's Euro 21.00 per lap for a car or motorbike. You can get a 4 lap ticket for Euro 70.00

Opening times do vary but generally it's open most evenings during the week until 19.30 and then most weekends unless an event on.

I saw one of the evening open session from the start area - what an amazing atmosphere. Went back next morning to see if there was any testing - no, so headed back to the ferry.
