Hi people
I have just finished putting a engine into my 156 and last night I had to put all the interior back in and check all the car as it is booked in for its MOT today and finally finished and packed it all up about half 4 this morning I made sure I was quiet all night so I did not disturb anyone. But when I left for work this morning at 7:30 there was a note on my car reading; Darren, it is bad enough the the front of my house looks like a car lot, and now you are working on the car until 1:30 in the morning. thanks very much your tired neibough.
So I am not 100% sure who wrote it but I think I know who it was. What should I do ?
(sorry about spelling)
Sounds like the note may have been written whilst they were angry - hence the thing about a car lot (not being true IYO) - but I'd do what the adopted garlic sniffer said !!
i am just a bit hacked off that they did not leave there name on the note. I find it a joke if they want to complaine then they should come and speak to me
Problem is we live in such an angry and bitter world now that people are too often afraid of reprisals. The people who live above us had been a bit noisy early hours since we recently moved in so we put two polite notes through and it made no difference...finally I went up but the note is usually the safest option first I reckon. Saves any confrontation because people are always going to disagree about noise issues (pleading innocence etc) and makes people who might not otherwise realise what they have been doing to disturb people

That's right. Neighbour disputes are the worst. It's not worth the potential grief.
