Possible cheaper shipping cost

The approximate cost of shipping will be £780.00 taking 6-8 working days. The approximate size the box would be 190x70x80 30kg.It may be cheaper to arrange the shipping from your side.
I Spoke with Kenneth in Autodelta last week. I am considering a new bumper and side skirts for my car.

By reviewing the quotation, the shipping cost is lot more expensive than I expect, I have trying contacted some other couriers without much luck. Fedex does not handle such big stuff, DHL has no reply on my freight inquiry.

Do you guys know any logistics company/courier that deals with bulky goods with better rate. (I just don't want to pay £780.00 as cost of shipping for something values at £540.00. )

My Car's in Panel shop, Need a new bumper ugently, hope somebody can gimme piece of idea. Thanks in advance

Eric

Re: Possible cheaper shipping cost

I have a logistics company here in UK - can give you the details of the logistics company I use in Australia but suspect they would only use seafreight - couriers are a rip off.

I called them last Friday, they don't seem ship such big stuff.

To ship by sea will take long than a month, I can't let my car stay in panel shop for that long

Thanks for your PM anyway!

Seeking further helps

Re: Possible cheaper shipping cost

The UK based company I work for are constantly shipping large items by air freight - hence easy for me to buy off ebay

They use a subsidiary of this company below, not sure if they'd be interested to help. From memory its about £100 -£150 for airfreight charges for 30kg to Qatar from UK not including the forwarders charges. Melbourne would obviously be more.

Air freight forwarding and management services from Denholm Forwarding, freight forwarding and management specialists

Does the rental company insurance cover you for modifications?

I suppose you'll have to downgrade it all again when you give it back.

Seriously though, what've you got?

I have contacted them, unfortunately they don't handle shipment for private individuals

everything shows that I may have to go for the courier.
