Re: Wow those Rangers fans know how to kick off...

there were rangers fans on the radio last night trying to justify the violence saying it was the councils fault because the screen broke. a screen breaking does not justify rioting although i can see how frustrating it would be.

Re: Wow those Rangers fans know how to kick off...

The majority of fans were well behaved and had a good time. Just beacause a few morons had a fight doesnt make all fans bad, I see fights in Yeovil and Taunton every weekend and thats just the locals out for a night out.

Sounds like it was a normal night out in Manchester from what
I can remember.

Who'da thunk it would've kicked off.
Love that w@nker Leese going on.

He should've seen it coming and curfewed the bars/offees
like they do in other countries.

I've just seen the CCTV footage of about 20 of them tripping and and getting stuck into a copper that got isolated from his colleagues.

That clips up on the Beeb now.

They do look like a pack of ****ing animals don't they.

Love the Scottish Conservative quote:
The Scottish Conservatives are demanding an inquiry into the policing of the final, claiming the decision to deploy riot police was an overreaction which may have inflamed the situation.

Judging by the footage it was more than a few pr@ts, though you are correct it is a minority in most cases but footage looks like full scale rioting which is in the thousands rather than hundreds.................

Re: Wow those Rangers fans know how to kick off...

Nev, shocking isn't it that quote!!! With that logic then surely there should be no police force at all in the world, because they must inflame people to commit crime full stop.....

Defending the indefensible is something Tories are pretty good at though mind you.

Don't get me wrong I am no Rangers fan! And I don't condone the behaviour at all. I am a Liverpool fan so am fully aware of what it is like to be tarred with the same brush

Re: Wow those Rangers fans know how to kick off...

I'm not a footie fan atall, but I do think its getting a wee bit out of context (not that I condone the behaviour of the louts). They reckon 200,000 Rangers fans were in Manchester. The police made 43 arests and estimate the rioters to number 200 at the most.
A Rangers fan who was at Pickadilli Gardens last night (and at Celtic Park paying tribute to Tommy Burns this morning) said that the rioters were complete morons. When the big screen broke down the idiots started throwing bottles and cans, hitting the other Rangers fans in front of them :loony:

I find your "anti-Scottish" remarks quite offensive. Yes, some mindless morons have yet again given Glasgow a bad name, but we aren't all like that!
