You can say all you want about how its been blown out of proportion by the media, the Police were heavy handed etc etc, but i saw footage of a few Police being chased by scum who then en mass tripped up a Policeman and basically laid into him............ so that particular section of folk wearing Rangers colours are stupid thick louts who can't take their booze and can't handle losing, its not unplausable that some of these people weren't even Scottish as Rangers have fans from all countries you know, so i said 'Rangers fans know how to kick off' Ray, not 'Scottish fans know how to kick off'.

The final made a mockery of the UEFA Cup anyway, two rubbish teams playing rubbish football IMHO. In Scotland it's all about the HOOPS!!!!! (Celtic)

I support dundee united (so no bias over last saturday ) i see some interesting comments about the actions of some "idiot" fans, however club football and international football is very different for many reasons, from a fans point of view, Scottish fans have had awards for good behaviour at games in many countries in recent years and English fans have had some pretty bad press, does this mean that scottish fans in general will be punished for this inccident? and because of the past of english fans fighting the man u and chelsea fans will be judged even before they reach Russia???

Now that a scottish clubs support has went mental (a minority ) it seems that they are getting ripped heavily for it, and prob rightly so, violence over a sport is crazy, be passionate but not crazy! im passionate about driving my GTV but if i see a better one i dont want to beat the guy/girls brains out (well maybe for a min )

Oh you know Fraser, it is an obvious jibe after the photos are seen.

We have some beautiful architecture and great history around these parts but we just get panned all the time for the supposedly interminable rain (what a day the Rangers fans got - same all week while Lords has been partly rained off), and for the travelling United fans (even though every one else has them )

I love Glasgow - as you say, similar snidey prejudices usually from people who have never been.
