Is Keegan asking to be sacked?

....with huge compensation???

"Maybe the owner thinks we can bridge that gap - but we can't,"

"This league is in danger of becoming one of the most boring but great leagues in the world."

"The top four next year will be the same top four as this year,"

"I haven't got enough money and I wouldn't be able to get the players anyway (to do any better than that), so I will soldier on with what I've got and maybe add one or two, maybe three, depending what's available."

"I thought, 'What can I do next year to get near them' and the truth is there's nothing I can do at all,"

The watery-eyed barcode cretin is at it again.

I'm personally baffled at what Mags see in him. He is tactically inept at the highest level (self-admitted frailty that). What a fraud!

I don't see David Moyes giving up and without looking at the bank balance I'd be prepared to estimate that he hasn't spent as much as Newcastle lately.

So what's the reality, Newcastle fans? Happy to finish above Middlesbrough and Sunderland. Pushing for a Euro spot? "Playing for pride" for another season?

Re: Is Keegan asking to be sacked?

its a funny old game, that's for sure.

He has show down talks in London tomorrow with Mike Ashley, so should be interesting.

Keegan is saying that he wants the money to spend but wont get it, and even if he did the only people that want to go there are has been's, so yes, he's stuck and maybe he now see's that and wants out.

Easiest way out is to ****** off the owner and be asked to leave with a load of cash in your pocket.

Good move Keegan!

Re: Is Keegan asking to be sacked?

I dont think he will sack him - the fans think he is the messiah.

He will be told to shut up - I just think he is after a big transfer budget.

Re: Is Keegan asking to be sacked?

I t makes me laugh how he's making out Newcastle are this little club trying to compete with the big boys who just throw money around..........

Yet Newcastle are officially one of the biggest spenders in the Premiership, they spent more on transfers than Man U last season....... what it comes down to is, the previous managers spent loads of cash on rubbish players.....

Re: Is Keegan asking to be sacked?

they're walking on eggshells and they know it - there is no strategy and Keegan was on the money in that respect.

So we know that the only way to attract top class players is mucho moolah and a top class coach. The barcodes will spend decent cash with a coach who ultimately will resort to "CUUUMMM on LAADS" and a tear in the eye.

I said before Allerdyce was gone that the only obvious, geordilogical decision was to bring KK back - but it was the WRONG decision.

Re: Is Keegan asking to be sacked?

What makes me laugh about this whole thing, is that in his own way Keegan started this whole thing in someways........

Lets not forget Keegan once purchased a player at Newcastle, Alan Shearer, for the then record, and still alot even by todays standards, for 15 million quid........ difference is since 1996 they have have several differnt managers each chucking money at the problem, where as Man U have stuck with Fergie and there stability clearly pays dividends..
