My dislike of the Mercedes guys stems back to standing around trying to attract someones attention and being completely ignored by them simply, I suspect, because I was wearing shorts. I had £25 ish grand to spend on a car so I was determined after that it wasn't going to be with them.

Now I go in there periodically and spend an hour mooching around and then at the end say something along the lines of 'sorry, it's just not as good as my BMW'. They hate it!

I agree completely - I hate being ingored, especially on the grounds of appearance. I make a point of looking abit scruffy - make sure I get some attention, tell them how much I have to spend, then once they see a sale coming, I leave.
