Dear fellow AOers,
We have been listening to many of you about the nature of the Way Off Topic lounge and how it's evolved over time.
The Admins and Mods have also discussed at length how to handle the huge amount of Drivel traffic in the best possible ways and we would like to communicate our conclusions:
1. We'll create a new Sticky Thread in WOT, called "The Chat Thread" where people can drivel, get to know each other and shoot the breeze
2. All other drivel threads (of which I am the owner of quite a few
) will be locked from tomorrow and we would ask you not to open new ones. We'll just merge the new ones in the Chat Thread anyway.
3. Even More WOT will be more open for drivel, as a further service to our esteemed
AO Club Members
Please chaps, don't be upset. This way we will:
a. Save on the bandwidth
b. Avoid clogging the New Posts search results for fellow AO members
c. Still have plenty of space for our (and I mean, our) AO favourite pasttime: banter and chat.
We are always open to feedback and review. Please, let's go with this way of doing things for a while and let's see how it goes
By all means, start new threads, have a ball and enjoy the show.
