I understand that in classic car circles that is described as "age related patina".

He's still around but I think he's become a bit disenchanted with AO. It's not as vibrant as it was, for sure and certainly for a while seemed to be getting too political and generally unpleasant for some tastes.

I felt the same for a while G and I'm only recently really popping back in for a mooch on anything like a regular basis. Good to see kb also posting again after his sabbatical.

Not much has changed around here Jim. French cars are just a crap as they ever were (just incase you had forgotten).

..and the 406 coupe, the Alpine... but the rest though... but I like the RCZ (that makes me a hairdresser doesn't it).

Most French cars are sheite.

PS I don't like the Reeenult 5 Gordini Turbo so don't include that POS.

Gino, and gang

I've been popping in and out of here, keeping an eye on things, seeing what's been happening. Not a great deal worth contributing to in all fairness. Such is life I suppose

I'm all good, haven't left the building just yet you'll all be devastated to hear. AO isn't the place it was, we all know that and if truth be told, I found myself well and truly hacked off with the regional organisation I was attempting to, well, organise. I won't name names as that isn't the way to do things, although I have been tempted at times. I can liken it to p*ssing into the wind, though I've never done that, but I imagine it to be a pointless and futile exercise, much like regional event organisation

Otherwise, I've been busy on man's greatest website that isn't pornography, Autotrader. I still fancy a TVR but am a bit more accepting of the fact that they are getting more and more unobtainable, hey ho. The old 145 Cloverleaf finally made it to a spot at my friends place to have a heart transplant, which eventually went well. Almost finished, just a couple of little jobs to do now, then I suppose I'd better insure, MOT and tax it.

GT still going strong, Gtv still going strong but likely to be the subject of minor recommissioning over the spring and summer. And maybe a supercharger if I'm feeling brave or stupid. Or both as it happens

In other Alfa related news, I had an invitation from Alfa boff and all round nice guy David Slocombe (Le Man to AOers) to pop over and see him and the new Giulia in his showroom. Never one to turn down such an occasion, I went over on Christmas Eve for a poke around and what a car it is. A sublime looking piece of beauty in less than QF spec, simply mind blowing in QF guise, and yes, I did get to take it out for a bit of a blast. I can't really be bothered typing out a full review here just yet but it's safe to say that I need one in my life

So that's that basically. I'm still alive, I made it through 2016 unlike so many others.

Just one final thing
