Help Ride For Life - Can you spare a pound?

Alfaowner.com are supporting Andrew Grant aka "wobblyspoon" in his 'ride for life' in Enduro Africa 2008

Andrew, a special needs teacher is trying to raise awareness of his trip which will generate funds for the medical services out there. He will be riding a motorcycle across South Africa in order to do this.
Intrigued? please take a look at his school website here or read on....

Each year adventurous motorcyclists from all walks of life - beginners and expert riders alike - leave their 'normal lives' behind to take up the Enduro Africa challenge; to ride for 8 days across some of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring scenery in South Africa. Why? To help save and improve the lives of many people in desperate need. Andrew will ride from dawn to dusk each day truly off road as he takes on the awesome 'wild coast' of South Africa, one of the continents most stunning landscapes.

More information about the charity - Enduro Africa - the ride for life - Charity

Andrews initial target is £5000 and if 1000 of us send just a £1 each, Andrew would already be 1/5 of the way there. Andrew will be along shortly to advise how you can actually contribute.

If any dealers or specialists would like to help Andrew, please contact him here: enduroafrica@hotmail.co.uk

We wish you all the best Andrew…

Hi Folks. A huge thanks firstly to AlfaOwner.com for the amazing support given. Ok i have three methods by which you can contribute.

(1) Through PAYPAL, simply go to paypal.co.uk and click on SEND MONEY tab at the top of the page and enter my charity paypal account email address which is enduroafrica@hotmail.co.uk

(2) A payment into my charity bank account which is at Natwest
Sort Code 60 24 79
Account Number 20603517

(3) Post a cheque made payable to Andrew Grant:

Re: Ride For Life - Can you spare a pound?

Would it be possible to open an account with justgiving.com or something like that? I don't have a PayPal account and from abroad, it's gonna cost me way too much to send money via a wire.

Re: Ride For Life - Can you spare a pound?

hi bigfoot, ok i checked into some options, we cant use just giving because they are for single charities and because enduro africe supports three others ..nelson mandella trust, sentebale and unicef so the funds need to be directed at me as the collector.. i spoke to the organiser of the ride and he said that for foreign transactions the two cheapest methods are setting up a paypal account which is free and has a minimal charge for overseas payment transfers and a company in london that they use called custom house who are apparantly very good towards the charity...
cheers
