Help engine cleaning help

Hi, I had my cambelt done and the garage discovered there is a leak from the back area of my engine. They could not locate it because of the build up of oil and gunk on the area( though they think it could be from a pipe ruuning up the back of the engine, in at the bottom and top. They have advised me to have the engine steam cleaned so they could trace the leak. Any ideas how best to go about this as nobody in cwmbran seams to be able to get the underside of the engine done. I would have a go at it outside my house but don't want to mess up the street and upset all the neighbours (I'm already leaving little puddles of oil) Any body know somewhere around the Newport area that could do this for me. I don't want to have a go at fixing the leak and finding out that it is something else

Hello Apinya......

If its not too far for you to travel, I would highly recommend M & J Motors down here in Swansea. I'm sure they will put it right for you.....

Good Luck......

I went to L C today to get a price on finding the fault and fixing it. after the guy in servicing had spent 10 mins, chatting on the phone to somebody and about how busy they were and the state of the road outside, I let him ask if he could help... told him no and walked out. I can't stand bad service and that was to me unacceptable. I can't help judging the workers inside a garage by the face I get to see.

My motor is a jtd and I'm not actually having to top it up at all. The car's done 120k and the leak is apparentlty coming from the rear of the engine, near a pipr that runs up the rear of the engine (may be a breather pipe). I am going to get the engine cleaned tomorow so we can trace where the leak is running from
