Cardiff Alfa...

Hey!

Well, as I've said in one or two other threads on the MITO forum, my MITO is on order.

I was dealing with a bloke called David at Dutton Forshaw in Cardiff. I'd been on holiday not long after I ordered the car, and recently I hadn't heard anything on my order (made the order about a month ago). So I decided to ring the showroom yesterday. I said that I'd like to speak with David and the voice on the line said "We're sorry, David no longer works for us". He'd been there a while I think, so what went wrong I don't know.

Anyway, I'm now being dealt with by Kelvin (met him once or twice, nice bloke) and my MITO is expected mid May (I hope so!)

Re: Cardiff Alfa...

Not really, I was talking to an indipendant on Tuesday and he told me he had spoke to someone called David and when he rang the next day to speak to him he had been told that he had died the previous evening.
sounds like it could be the reason the David you were dealing with is no longer there.

Re: Cardiff Alfa...

Well if that's true then that is very sad. When we were there he was talking of his daughter getting married this year sometime. My sister was chatting to him for ages as she's also getting married this year.

David was a very helpful person while I dealt with him and had offered me some very generous additions to my purchase.

Hey Fella.....

This post is in very bad taste " someone called David " is a loved one's Husband, Brother, Son, Uncle......you get my jist.......

I don't think it was deliberate at all, just be a bit more sympathetic, please......

my post was not in bad taste, and certainly not intended to offend anyone, i was simply recounting something that i had been told. And as i did not know if the story i had been told refered to the same David that the OP was talking about i used the term "someone called David"

I Actually thought twice about replying to the OP but felt it was prudent as, without this knowledge, the thread may have gone off in the direction of speculation.

Obviously i am very aware that when anyone passes away they leave loved ones behind and it is i very difficult time for them.

I am sorry if you found it offensive

It wasn't me I was thinking of.....

It was his Family !!!......

As I said earlier, I'm sure you didn't mean anything offensive at all.....

It just comes across as a careless comment........

Hopefully others will see it the same, as you meant it ......

Re: Cardiff Alfa...

Guys please calm down.

If it is true that David has passed away it is indeed very sad for his family as he was a really decent guy.

Arapoda, if Kelvin is dealing with your car you willbe fine.

I bought my car from Kelvin and he will certainly look after you.

I will find about about David and make a comment on the thread later.
