Hi guys

Not created a thread here before but i'm wonding if anyone would be intresed in knowing anything about MINT LPG of Newport.
:: Welcome to mint lpg - can you afford not to be minted?

I'm currenty booked in to have my bella LPGed on the 14th of july.

They have only just brought a kit out for the JTS as its direct injection. Its a software thing

Re: Mint LPG Newport... 156 JTS Conversion

I'm pretty sure i'm the first with MINT to have a 156 JTS done as they seemed unsure if they could do it or not...
I'm also told that the Kits they fit are designed and manufactured in ITALY which is the main reason i went with them...
If they are using me as a test bed i'm going to try and see if i can get an extended warrenty out of them.

Last person I know who had this done had their car blow up on them. Pushed me even further away from having it done....EVER.

Re: Mint LPG Newport... 156 JTS Conversion

To be honest i'm very aware of the bad rep that LPG conversions and this is due to shoddy workmanship and poorly manufactured Kits.

I have spoken at lenght with mint and have found they are the sole imported and distributer of the the kits they offer also they sell and provide training to LPG fitters.

There has to be a cleaner, and cheaper way to run a car and i feel that its worth giving it a go, at least if it blows the engine i'll get a new one off of MINT...

Re: Mint LPG Newport... 156 JTS Conversion

£1300 +VAT
T.S engines are £1250 +VAT

The extra £50 is due to the newness of the kit for the JTS and they have only just brought it out...

im sure you will have no problems with them, they supply us with the kits, we have fitted quite a few now with no trouble at all.
very good, reliable kits that they fit.

in fact i have just bought an alfa 156 1.8tspark to convert to LPG
