Re: ***** yapp
Did you change the variator as part of the 31500 cambelt change? If so the new variator has failed and needs to be replaced. It should be under warranty which probably means you need to go back to the place that did it.

Waterfall's a good one, Brackla Industrial Estate.
or, Avia Autos, Bridgend Industrial Estate. Works on a lot of classics (and Alfas), and opposite where I work (kettle's usually on).

Re: ***** yapp
It actually is A| pha Yapps. My 156 lived in South Wales before I owned it and there are some receipts from them in my service history for some big jobs, including changing the cambelt and clutch.
They can't be that bad as a previous owner of my car was obviously happy enough with them

Re: ***** yapp
It was a Mr. Cook from Chepstow who I bought it from, and before that it belonged to a Mrs. Perry from Caerphilly, according to the service receipts.

Not that it has anything to do with this but, I used to live in Chepstow, my mums side of the family are named 'Cook's and now live in Caerphilly... coincidence or something more!?...
