Angelsey. Places to Stay

Sorry to gate crash your lounge but I am thinking of bringing Mrs Wishful to the beautiful isle of Angelsey and was wondering if anyone can recommend some good places to stay? B and B or hotel.
Thanks everyone.

I'm going a week on sunday but staying at a campsite in Trearrdur bay. I think there's a travel lodge type place in Holyhead and the Valley Hotel in Valley was nice last time I stayed there. Hope you find a nice place ti stay and have a great time

Stayed here:
Oak Lodge Hotel. Ffordd Cocsyn Richard Evans. Llanallgo, Anglesey, LL72 8NE. 01248 410919

in October last year. Was lovely. its a family run pub/hotel. Close to LLigwy and moelfre, which is where my granddad used to take me as a wee boy. Some other really nice bays and cliff top walks around there.

Beaumaris is very picturesque, but busy in the summer. I've been recommended the Bulls Head Inn, never stayed there but I've been told that its good and the restaurant has a good reputation with the locals.

This is the B & B we use:

Cefn Dref

It's within five minutes' or so walk from several good restaurants in Rhosneigr & around ten minutes' drive to Anglesey circuit.

I've just had two weeks in Anglesey, but confess I was in very nice accommodation just outside Beaumaris belonging to the Holiday Property Bond which I've belonged to for over 20 years. This is their website for anyone who hasn't heard of them. Why buy just one holiday home when you could have an interest in over 1,300

The most picturesque villages are on the North Coast heading to Red Wharf Bay/Moelfre and beyond. I went for a swim at Trearddur Bay on the other coast as that side is best for beaches. Beaumaris is nice..but im sorry I can't really make any recommendations. Why not ask the local tourist authority. They will not send you somewhere thats rubbish, and I'm sure there are lost of good hotels & B&Bs with some good deals given the economic crisis.

I love N.Wales, and being a sailing sort I'd quite like to live there.

Bulls Head Inn
Sorry to be negative but:

I've recently come back from Anglesey - re-discovering my roots! - Beamaris is nice but all the restaurants and hotels seem to be priced way above their actual level. We stayed in a new annex to the Bulls Head as it had a good reputation - and it was a pleasant enough room and pub, but nothing special and certainly not value for money. Also, if you don't want the same breakfast of muesli and cold croissants every day, stay in the main pub! Most importantly though, there is nowhere to park - you are told to park up the road in the health centre - I'm sure that goes down fantastic with the locals!

You'll love Anglesey though. Top place. Hope you find somewhere nice to stay!

trearddur bay hotel is very nice, as is the newly refurbed seacroft hotel in trearddur bay. there is also the travel inn in holyhead. 2 hotels in valley - the bull and the valley hotel, although not sure what they're like as i've only ever been in the bars

Cheers everyone. In the end we stayed in LLandudno and spent a day touring Anglesey, which was very nice. If anyone needs to stay in LLandudno I can heartely recommend the Beach Cove 8 Church Walks
