Who's up for driving the EVO triangle and some other fine roads in North Wales

It's being done on the friday to help make sure that the roads are clearer than they would be at the weekend


Meeting at Chester at 10.00am - Meet Point to be advised.

Then off on a tour of some of the finest roads North Wales has to offer including the fabled EVO triangle.

The route will take around 4 hours and we will be stopping for lunch along the way.


For those with sat-nav: I will be providing itinerary files of the route, so if you can PM me with your e-mail address and sat-nav type I'll send you the file,
I can do TomTom, Garmin and Navman

I've just got informed of another couple of good roads so there may be another version of the route to come (all part of my quest to find the best roads in north wales!), but the start point will be the same.

That's the one. They're putting the new bridge on the north side of it and straightening out what used to be a quite sharp bends either side of the old bridge.

Just working on a route that will take us round that completely, going to go down the B4396 & B4391 north west to Bala as they're supposed to be excellent roads.

Probably one big group I think.

I'll be following for a bit of the run with a video camera attached to the windscreen, and so I can get some passing shots, So I'll need someone to lead at some point.

As long as we stick to the same principle as we do for our normal runs. i.e. If the car following you drops out of view ease off so they can see where to turn next.. then the car in front should follow suit and we should all stay together, seems to have worked in the past. I'll work a couple of regroup points as well just in case.

I'm bringing some walkie talkies this time (well i've got 4 so far!) as well to help us stay in touch.

Can't wait to do the run..the worst thing has been looking at the pictures of some of the roads when I've been working out the route (just looking at the Horseshoe Pass at the moment which also looks pretty special as well - luckily I've already put that one in). Just makes me want to jump in the car all the time and go and drive it!
