Re: The North Wales Run - AO does the EVO Triangle
Morning guys,
Thanks to Tony and Jon for organising a great day out yesterday - over 400 miles, 8 hours of driving and £100 of V-Power.
Got a few pics I'll get up soo.
Cant wait for the next one and great to meet you all.
Cheers,
Swanny
And to you GTA knockers - I was always stuck behind slower traffic and a tractor GT or two

I think us oil burners accredited ourselves very well
What a route - hairy in places - epecially going into the triangle for the second time - nearly ended up going through a wall.
Looking forward to the next one.
Yes we did
That was my fault I did hit the anchors a bit late on that right turn

Re: The North Wales Run - AO does the EVO Triangle
In my defence the 'real' reason my brakes cooked are threefold:
1 dam sheep (nearly collected a 147 as a bumper sticker)
2 some tractor driving farmers dodgy right turn
3 constant braking to avoid running into 'TRACTORS'
my little old twinny performed magnificently (i recall a comment that purchase of one was a serious consideration)
of course if a favourable comment was forthcoming i would concede that a (subaru colour) blue GT did indeed terrorise a porsche and was an excellant well driven car.
flippin fantastic day!!!!!!!

Re: The North Wales Run - AO does the EVO Triangle
I read and re read this thread before hand to see when it was happening, I couldn't make it anyway but the actual date of the run had me foxed I'm glad you all enjoyed coming to Wales, it should be full of Alfa's 'cos the roads are made for them, I never take my bella anywhere else

It was a cracking day jason
Now that I'm N Wales rep I'm sure that we could organise a run out through mid Wales, perhaps get the S Wales lot in on it too!

Re: The North Wales Run - AO does the EVO Triangle
Hi all, bit dissapointed I didn't get on the Triangle itself but my sat nav consoled me by planning a route to our hotel in Pembroke that was chuffing AWESOME!!! in the 125 mile drive there was only one section of road that had broken surface for about 50 meters or so.
Also had to take a detour at one point as a helicopter had landed in the middle of the road (think there was a rather bad accident).
Great roads though. I think i'l have to take a day off sometime soon to go do this Triangle your all ranting on about
Tony, thanks for the compliments mate maybe next time you fancy being passenger?
efc glad you made it home safe mate, I don;t have any roadside assistance either, guess what i'll be doing when I get home

Re: The North Wales Run - AO does the EVO Triangle
Well I’m finally home after taking an hour to cover the first 10 miles of my journey and then having to endure the nightmare that is the M62 in the rain.
The trip computer says I’m covered 555.5 miles on my little adventure which saw me take on the jobs of midwife, mechanic and driving god.
Thanks to Jon for all the work he put into organising the event, to the Al family for their hospitality and to everyone else that turned out and made the day so enjoyable, even you HM.

Re: The North Wales Run - AO does the EVO Triangle
Ghosty you will love the triangle in that beast of yours, it really is one of the best drives to do in the uk. it was fun chasing you and swanny in my twinny on the first part of the run to bala, until i fried my brakes!
Roswell, fella i had a good laugh chasing you on the second lap of the triangle once i got thru the 'short cut' and passed fee, transco and jon in the spider. a really good drive out and nice to meet you, as indeed it was nice to meet everyone else and see some from my first meet last month
