Who's up for driving the EVO triangle and some other fine roads in North Wales

It's being done on the friday to help make sure that the roads are clearer than they would be at the weekend

I'm not going to be at this one, unfortunately

You guys have a great time, I'm expecting a load of pictures. Fingers crossed for the weather, hopefully you'll have loads of nice, sticky, twisty Welsh tarmac to tear up

Cheers mate, I was thinking of PM'ing you and seeing if we could go in one car & share fuel then I read you were taking the missus and staying on for a little holiday, I've got the day off tomorrow as well and seen as you're all going to be tearing it up in North Wales I'll have no bugger to chat to on here either

I hope you have a good time anyway, don't drink too much as you have to be fresh in the morning. Me, I have a crate of Cobra's and they are going down nicely

Blimey what a day!
Got home late but just managed to finish washing the motor before it got dark! Thought I'd better not get the vacuum out or I'll have the neighbours after me!!

Looks like the weather should be ok for tomorrow, I can't wait!

Re: The North Wales Run - AO does the EVO Triangle

Just got back from the bar.
Cunn21 and I tried the triangle out earlier as it was (sort of) on the way there

It's as good as people say, the left side A543 is twisty as hell, surface is good but it can get bumpy. Unfortunately the mist descended so had to slow up as there were a few sheep wandering about as well

The right side B4501 is fantastic long sweeping turns and undulating, it's very quick and magnificent scenery as well to boot. There's a twisty section towards the end which people could get airbourne on so watch out for the crests.

The bottom A5 is a very straight flat out stretch, unfortunately plod knows this and can be found there so keep an eye out.

We also did the B5105 which is nearly as good as the triangle, twisty and straights in equal measure.

I'm knackered so I'm off to kip now, see you all tomorrow and don't forget your walkie talkies (yes dad)

Re: The North Wales Run - AO does the EVO Triangle

well I have just got back from the Evo run, with varying results. The balancer cam shaft failed about half way around on my car so it ground to a sudden and abrupt halt, right next to a lake.
Firstly, big thanks to everyone who stopped and helped me out, especially Scott for his assistance with the AA.
Am mortified that I missed the remaining half of the run and hope those that stopped with me, met up with the rest of the guys.
Anyway, off to do some parts shopping. (anyone got a cam locking kit for a 2.0l twinney?!!!)
