Good Year Eagle F1's are very good tyres but dont last long and when they get a bit old they start to become a bit noisy and hard...

I'm sure you're right... In my experience that's what you get with all extreme performance tyres once they're past their best, and my current Yokohama Advan Neova AD08’s are becoming very noisy now... but that's the trade-off you have to live with if you want very high levels of grip and response
