Alfa Romeo Garage/Service Stations in the UAE

Hi All,

Just thought of aggregating the options available for servicing our cars in the UAE. Please correct the information:

Name: Gargash Middle East (Main Dealer)
Services: All
Contact: Sanjay
Location: Dubai Gold and Diamond market, Sheikh Zayed Rd, Dubai
Telephone: +971-50-1000137
Remarks: Stealership

Name: Al Ahli Garage(Recommended Independent Garage)
Contact: Hussein / Sadiq
Services: All
Location: Al Qusais, Dubai
Telephone: 050-5852304 / 055-9782278
Remarks: Highly recommended...ex Alfa mechanic.

Name: Rafiqs Garage (Abu Dhabi Independent Garage)
Contact: Rafiq
Services: Urgent servicing, bodywork.
Location: Off. ICAD Gate no. 1, Musaffah, Abu Dhabi
Telephone: 050-5663716
Remarks: Subcontractors for VW and Porsche....Very nice and honest bloke...Owns an Alfa Romeo himself so knows about it (and the dealers). He will either do the job himself or point you to the correct direction. Very useful for emergencies and general advice.

Hi Krackpot, pls correct the Gargash entry, Greg is NOT the person you want to contact. He's a very good technician, but absolutely poor in customer service. The main point of contact for Alfas @ Gargash is Sanjay, you can reach him on his mobile @ +971 50-1000137.

Tha'ts maybe the reason why you rate them "stealership". I have to say their service has greatly improved.

I hope it helps make AR more popular here.

Added a number of 'sadiq' from the sticky post. Does anyone have any idea about him/them?

Hello everyone.

There was an add on Dubizzle regarding an Alfa Romeo repair shop. The name of the person was "samy or saby" I cant recall and the shop is located in Al Qusais. Any info on who this person is? perhaps working in Al Ahli garage? Any info will be much appreciated.

Here is the add:

I've had my timing belt change, and all related to that parts like roller, tensioner etc etc (only water pump not changed) in Central Motors - you think Dh2600 fair enough to pay. thats all charge, including labor..

that seems cheap.

I wish we could go on a drive somewhere but the nature of my job (IT Support) does not allow me that luxury. But we will surely meet up

No bad indeed. But you really should have changed the water pump while you had it opened.

Alfa Romeo 156 2.0 TS

Thanks for the info.
Just bought an 156 2.0 TS - manual and it needs a bit of "service time" and parts, mostly front suspension.
I am located in Abu Dhabi.
Here there are not a lot of workshops for Alfa.
I will try the link you mentioned here in Abu Dhabi.
If there is another one that you know, please let me know.
Otherwise , a visit to Dubai is mandatory !

Hi guv,

I've been based in Abu Dhabi since January 1995, and bought my GTA (My first Alfa) new from Gargash Motors Dubai in July 2005. Since then Gargash have repeatedly assured me that they will soon be opening a dealership & service agency in Abu Dhabi, but to date it has been an empty promise.

I am a firm believer in "OEM Agency" servicing, maintenance & repairs, and from good experience with Gargash, particularly with the abilitiy and integrity of Greg, their Technician, and the very high standards of their repair & paint shop facilities, I am reluctant to have my car maintained elsewhere. However their being based only in Dubai is a bit of a pain, and as my car is now due for servicing again I am thinking of following krakpot's lead and taking it to Rafiqs Garage (Abu Dhabi Independent Garage) in Masaffa.

If anyone else here has experiece with Rafiqs I would be interested to hear their comments.
(Otherwise watch this space and I will subsequently report back with my own findings)

Martin.

Alfa Romeo 156 2.0 TS

Hello !
I have just finished a major overhaul on the front suspension and bushings on my 156 2.0 TS.
The shop I went to is none of the above but they did a nice job.
I have changed all 3 bushings for the lower front arms, front shock absorbers , all 3 engine mounts, the rubber shock absorber mounts for the front end, oil change, oil filter change, cabin air filter (old one was at least 1-2 years old), engine air filter, mass air flow meter.
The labour was arround 1500AED and I supplied the spare parts from Europe , where of course they are much cheaper.
The car drives beautifully now and is very rigid. The engine is no longer moving back and forth and the gear changing is a lot smoother ( manual gear box).
There are 2 bushings for the front lower arm that I bought twice and I also have one spare ALFA ROMEO logo for the front grill. If there is anyone in need.....let me know.
Until the next visit to the mechanic....all the best !

Hello !

Al Ain sounds quite nice. Maybe we get the chance to test the "Italians" on the Al Ain mountain, it's got a pretty nice winding road.
For the Logo, contact me from 25th onwards .
