Widely known as the premier UK concours for top-quality Italian automobiles, this spectacular event will once again be held in the grounds of Stanford Hall. Following the success of last year’s Alfa Romeo Owners’ Club National Concours, held for the first time at the event, we are delighted that the Club will be returning to us in 2009. Another first last year was the Fiat and Abarth National Concours. This year the concours entries will be accommodated in the main display area joined for the first time with a selection of top quality Lancias. As well as the formal concours areas, the Ferrari Owners’ Club and Maserati Club will be returning with displays of exotic cars. Visitors arriving in an Italian car will be invited to join the general display area. There will also be an Italian trade village and a concession on entrance to the elegant stately home

Brings back a memory of two does this. Just been looking through an old copy of Italian Cars, Sports and classics, which I believe was the forerunner of Auto Italia? I seem to remember attending the first event held at Stanford Hall, but cannot remember the year? Anyone? I may shake these old bones up a bit and do a left at Norman Cross if I am 'fighting fit' on the day.

There'll be seperate sections for AROC, and FIAT the cars will be judged during the day and the winner for each class shown in the afternoon. Mainly classics although GTV's were judged last year.

As for concours it's judged on the originality and the condition of the car, it must be 100% unmodified, they even go down to screw level in some cases.

As with brooklands All italian cars will be allowed to park on display at the lawn approaching Stanford Hall, non italian cars will park somewhere else.

We don't have a designated area for AO at Stanford Hall.. nor does AROC as far as I'm aware apart from those taking part in the concours.. hence why we're getting the regions together at a meet point outside so that we can drive in and park together.
