Re: Alfa Romeo GTA UK Meet 2009.
I have just got off the phone with the Cloverleafclub UK & they said they would look into Paddock Passes & see if we can park inside the circuit as a display, i said there maybe 10-15 GTA on the day, so fingers crossed chaps.
Cheers
Stu
PS. Any thoughts as to where we can meet up & drive in together?

Re: Alfa Romeo GTA UK Meet 2009.
I am sure there are services on the M1 nearby. Would be an ideal meeting point.

Has there been any news on the infield parking? It would be cool if we can actually arrange some kind of display and with Alfa sponsoring the WSBK we should have a chance!

No luck with Alfa letting us into the infield or even any tickets but the meet is still on, I sent for my own tickets for the Superbikes & can't wait now.

The warm ups etc start at 9am and with the traffic that normally heads to this event an earlier start would probably be needed (imho)

Not wanting to tread on any toes (stuartalfa) as far as organisation for this event, but i gave Donnington Park a call yesterday and explained about the meet and that we couldnt seem to get any joy from ARUK about organising some sort of display. I explained that we weren't necessarily looking for any type of financial concession as i know some of you have already pruchased your tickets anyway but i did say it would be nice if we could have an area somewhere (infield preferably) but just somewhere reserved for us so we can actually park together at least. Having been to these events at Donnington many times i know the car parks are huge and if we dont all arrive together we could be parked miles apart which kind of defeats the point of a 'meet' . Also i might be going down for the weekend and camping which means you normally park in a completely different place to the daily ticket holders so i gave the girl my mobile no. and details etc and she said she would speak to the relevant bods and see if we can have maybe a 'corner' of one of the car parks where we could all be directed to and get parked together Havent heard back yet but she did seem to think it wouldnt be too much trouble to arrange so fingers crossed and i'll let you know as soon as i hear anything

Hi dabs, any help is great by me mate, I did not think of contacting Donny about the parking, (Dhoo) the time is not the best for seeing the bikes but I don't think people would make it earlier that 10am, with the traffic, most of the traffic will be in Donny by the time we get there, I made it late there a few years ago (11am) for the MOTO GP & they let me drive into the infield, top guys at Donny.
Any help form you guys is great, I only do this for fun & too see & hear your GTA's.
Cheers

Hi Stu - just been reading through the header of this thread and you mentioned that you hoped the meet may make it into the AROC magazine this month, does that mean some AROC members who own GTA's have arranged to meet there and maybe all ready have an area set aside or is it just AO.com who are going? Cheers

Hi Dab's,
It did make the Spring AROC mag, in the 156 section, it's me that write's for the 156 section, got roped in a few years ago when I had a 2.5 V6 156.
It also said that all the info for the GTA meet can be found on the AROC forum site/AO & 156.net but it's definatly mostly AO owners that make it, with there being so few GTA owners i like to cover all the bases & the forums have always let me post about the GTA gig.
Thanks too the Alfa forums we have had 2 great GTA meets so far as you can see from the photos.
Cheers
Stu
PS. We never know till the day of the meet how many will turn up?
